Security and Prosperity for all in the Matlosana area
A 2-day Work Session at the Protea Hotel, Klerksdorp was attended by more than 60 representatives from various civil organisations and big businesses to form a platform of concerned groups/NGO’s/organisations.
The “Front Door” Cleanup Project was launched.
On 2 November 2022 NOVA Matlosana in Action NPC was registered as a coalition of local civil organisations with Andre van Aswegen, an Albert de Kock, Shereen Senxezi and Johan Oosthuizen as the first directors.
During 11 and 12 November 2022 the Food-Security-Agri-Project: Phakama Nova-Matlosana in Action Garden of Life was kick-off at the City on the Hill Church under the leadership of Jan Albert de Kock, Romke de Jongh and Steven Barnard.
During January 2023 the draft Memorandum Action and Terms of Reference between the City of Matlosana Municipality and NOVA Matlosana in Action NPC was delivered to the Mayor.
On 1 February 2024 a letter referring to a proposed Waste-To-Energy Incineration Power Plant for the CoM was sent to the Premier of the NW. This was follow-up by a presentation by Prof Jan de Kock at Villa Maria Guesthouse at a meeting of the Matlosana Business Chamber on 20 July 2023 and thereafter with negotiations with the CoM.
